This policy explains how payments work on Voomi Service. In short: the customer pays the professional directly, and the professional pays Voomi’s commission from a prepaid balance.
1. Payment for the service
The customer pays for the service directly to the professional when the job is finished, by Pago Móvil, bank transfer, foreign currency or cash, as they agree. Voomi does not receive, hold or manage that money and charges the customer no fee for using the platform.
2. Professional’s commission balance
To confirm jobs, professionals keep a prepaid balance with Voomi. That balance is used only to pay Voomi’s commission.
- Top-up: the professional pays Voomi by Pago Móvil, bank transfer or foreign currency, uploads proof and, once Voomi confirms the payment, the balance is credited.
- Hold: when accepting a job, the corresponding commission is set aside from the available balance. If the available balance is not enough, the professional must top up before confirming the job.
- Charge: when the job is confirmed, the held commission is deducted for good.
- Cancellation: if the job is cancelled, the held commission returns to the available balance.
- Adjustments: in the event of claims, Voomi may waive the commission for a job.
3. Commission
The current commission is shown to the professional in the app before accepting each job, calculated on the service price. Voomi may change it with prior notice; jobs already accepted keep the commission under which they were accepted.
4. Job confirmation
The customer confirms the job in the app. If they do not respond within the period shown in the app and there is no claim, the job is confirmed automatically and the commission is charged. The professional may dispute a commission they believe is not due.
5. Balance refunds
The professional may request a refund of their available balance at any time from the app. Balance held for jobs in progress and promotional credits, such as the welcome balance, are not refunded. The refund is paid by Pago Móvil or bank transfer, in dollars or in bolívares at the rate of the day of the operation.
6. Companies
Companies keep a single commission balance shared by their whole team. Jobs by any member are held and deducted from that balance.
7. Prices in dollars and bolívares
Prices are expressed in dollars and also shown in bolívares at the daily rate. The rate is updated daily and stays fixed for each job from the quote.
8. Taxes and invoices
Each professional is responsible for their tax obligations on the services they provide. Voomi will issue the documents that apply for commissions and top-ups, in accordance with applicable law.
9. Questions or problems with a payment
Write to us via the contact page with the job or top-up number.
